The authors noted that based upon historical data Sarcoidosis appears to be more prevalent among patients with tattoo reactions and they evaluated the potential association in their systematic study. In their conclusion the authors noted that "black tattoos with papulo-nodular reactions should be seen as markers of sarcoidosis" and that depending on individual predisposition "Papulo-nodular reactions may, as triggers, induce widespread reactions in other black tattoos" describing this as a “rush phenomenon” . Overview:
This article provides the results of a study into the usefulness of micropigmentation for alopecia and scalp scar camouflage among male and female Korean patients. The study found that for 42 out of 43 patients results were highly satisfactory and there were no adverse effects or complications and only one patient was dissatisfied because she did not notice any remarkable changes after the procedure.
